Rena E. Rippinger

October 16, 1934 - May 15, 2017

Rena Rippinger, 82, of North Aurora, entered eternal life, Monday, May 15, 2017 at Rush Medical Center in Aurora.  She was born October 16, 1934, in Ely, MO the daughter of Frances E. and Alma Mary (Geist) Guffey. She was united in marriage to David Rippinger May 4, 1957, in Aurora, IL.

Rena was a loving mother and fantastic cook.  She had a fun personality and will be remembered as the life of the party.   

She is survived by four children Frank (Jen) Rippinger, of Batavia, Anne (Jerry) Baker of Geneva, Dave (Ada) Rippinger of Montgomery, IL and Elizabeth Rippinger of Aurora, IL; six grandchildren, Christina, Ryan, Parker, Katie, Emily and Paige; two brothers Raymond (Doris) Vollrath, and Glenn Guffey, both of Missouri; a very special niece and like a sister Karen Walls of Missouri and many other nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband David Rippinger and three sisters. 

A memorial to celebrate and a time to remember Rena will be held from 4:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Sunnymere Retirement Home 925 6th Ave, Aurora, IL 60505.
