Edward Bingham

September 3, 1935 - October 26, 2017

Edward “Bud” Bingham, 82, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast Fl.  Edward was born September 3, 1935, the son of Eli and Carrie (Sinkhorn) Bingham.  He was united in marriage to Edda I. Schoening on February 4, 1961 in Houston, TX.

Ed was raised in Taylorville, IL where he excelled as a star athlete.  In April 2017, Ed was inducted into the Taylorville Hall of Fame.  During his twenties, Ed served in the United States Army.  Ed spent his entire career in the printing and packaging industry.  During the last 10 years of his career Ed owned and operated Bingham Flexo Services.  His hobbies were fiddle-farting around his home especially in his backyard, taking a road trip or going on a vacation.  One of his greatest joys was spending time with and watching his grandchildren grow up. 

Edward is survived by his six children; Carrie (Brian) Reichardt, John (Beth) Bingham, Tracie (John) Gilbert, Marcie (Jeff) Rackmyer, SueAnn (Michael) Brown and Leslie (Kevin) Preuss; thirteen grandchildren; Austin and Tanner Reichardt, Kaila and Conner Bingham, Amanda, Brandon and Caitlin Gilbert, Jake and Luke Rackmyer, Christopher, Michael and William Brown, and Charles (Terri) McFeeters; three great-grandchildren; Holden Reichardt and Madilyn and Mason McFeeters. He was also survived by his friend and companion Beverly Mack, sisters Mary Catherine Watson, Billie Ruth Reams, a brother James (Kay) Bingham, and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Edda, and many brothers and sisters. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 60510.  Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Moss Family Funeral Home.  Interment will be at West Batavia Cemetery.
