John Nicholas Bielski

September 16, 1943 - November 20, 2017

John N. Bielski, 74, of Sugar Grove, formerly of Lombard, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at Silverado Naperville Memory Care.  John was born September 16, 1943, in Chicago the son of Adalbert and Mary (Budzban) Bielski.  He was united in marriage to Marilee Anderson September 2, 1967, in Galesburg, IL.

John worked as a Financial Planner for many years.  John took pride in helping his clients plan and secure their financial future.  John taught his motto “Being an owner not a loaner” to many of his clients.  John was an adventurous kind of guy who enjoyed scuba diving, boating, fishing in the great-lakes and hunting.  John will be remembered as a generous man who loved to travel, loved his family and most of all loved the Lord.   

He is survived by his wife Marilee; a son John (Erin) Bielski, II; one grandson John Bielski, III; a brother Adalbert (Andrea) Bielski, a sister Ursula (David Cowan) Bielski, and his step-mother Dolores Bielski.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Following the visitation, the funeral will proceed to Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 West Main Street Batavia, IL to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.  Interment is at Bronswood Cemetery, 3805 Madison Street, Oak Brook, IL.
