Nicholas Achilles Valos

July 23, 1949 - July 6, 2018

Nicholas Achilles Valos, 68, of Batavia passed away Friday, June 6, 2018, at his home surround by his loving family.  He was born July 23, 1949, in Chicago the son of Steve and Grace (Hogan) Valos.  He was united in marriage to Georgiana Kubeck May 10, 1980 in Itasca, IL. 

Nicholas was a Nuclear Engineer who was employed at Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  He was also an avid Yankees fan. 

Nicholas is survived by his loving wife Georgiana; three sisters, Georgia Shields, Gracie (Frank) Stringer, and Gloria (Alan) Nelson; two brothers Bob (Virginia) Valos, and Greg (Sandy Koziol) Valos; a sister-in-law Kathy (Thomas) Zaremba, two brother-in-laws, Rev. Jack Kubeck and Norman Kubeck; and his beloved pet cat Kramer. 

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Following the visitation, the funeral will proceed to Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia, IL to celebrate Mass at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
