Dorothy Genevieve Pearson

January 9, 1924 - July 6, 2018

Dorothy Genevieve Pearson, 94, of Batavia and a resident of Asbury Gardens in North Aurora the past five years passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at Presence Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora.  Dorothy was born January 9, 1924, in Downers Grove, IL the daughter of Adam and Mary (Kosla) Zaucha.  Dorothy had the opportunity to have had two loves.  Her first husband was Harold Wells who passed away in 1967.  Dorothy was later united in marriage to Gunnard Pearson February 8, 1971, at St. Mary Catholic Church in West Chicago. 

 She is survived by; three children, Carol (Larry) Huck of Batavia, Ron (Susan) Wells of Bartlett and Sharon (Terry) Britton of St. Charles; six grandchildren, Sandy (Jim) Kowalkowski, Karen (Mike) Acklin, Deborah (Doug) Lee, Richard (Jill) Wells, Scott Britton and Sara Norris; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Miles, Rachel, Sophia, Eve, Kyle, and Andrea; and many nieces and nephews.   

 She is preceded in death by her first husband Harold Wells and her second husband Gunnard and two sisters, Marie Swierczyk and Gertrude Zeman. 

 Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Following the visitation, the funeral will proceed to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street, Batavia IL, to celebrate Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow Mass at River Hills Memorial Park.
