Mary Jo Kerfoot

April 18, 1940 - July 8, 2018

Mary Jo Kerfoot, 78, of Batavia, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.  She was born April 18, 1940, in Geneva, Il the daughter of Francis and Dorretha (Meyers) Grahn. 

Mary was a strong, loving and hard-working woman.  She was employed at Furnas Electric for over 20 years in Batavia.  Mary then took employment at Sealy Mattress where she worked for more then another 20 years.  Mary loved to travel especially her many cruise ship excursions with her sister Pat. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Karla Lewis of Aurora, and Beth (Greg) Ninkovich, of Serena; three grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Lewis, Cassie Owen, and Jillian Metzger; five great-grandchildren, Jonathon Gable, Caleb Lewis, Ayden Lewis, Leah Lewis and Jaxson Metzger; a brother Jerry (Debbie) Grahn; two sisters, Pat Jensen, and Serena Bingham; many nieces and nephew, and a beloved cat Dandy. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, a son Scott Robert Owen, a daughter Dana Frances Metzger, and a grandson Cody Ivan Owen.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Moss Family Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
