Jose Villa

March 19, 1931 - November 8, 2018

Jose Villa 87 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 8, 2018. He was born on March 19, 1931 in Mexico, the son of Salomon and Zetila Villa. He was united in marriage to Elisa Ocampo on October 12, 1958.

 Jose worked at a welding company Aaron for thirty years. As a young man he kept active by swimming, playing soccer, and cycling. In Mexico during his retirement years he attended to his beautiful garden growing fruit trees and flowers. He enjoyed the companionship of his beloved rottweiler Romel.  Seeking a better opportunity for his family he worked hard in bringing his family here to the United States over the span of three years.  Then became a big fan of the Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his loving wife, his children; Maria (Roger L.) Brandt, Joseph (Patricia) Villa, Elizabeth (Kevin Mekaru) Villa-Mekaru, Rose D. Turrubiartes; his eight grandchildren Jonathan D. (Rae) Charo Sgt First Class, Alexander N. Charo, Angelica (Justin) Simmonds, Bianca A. Castaneda, Jasmine N.  Turrubiartes, Benjamin Turrubiartes, Rylan Sakai, Alyssa Sakai, two great grandchildren; Victor Charo, and Jonathan Charo Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and son in law Gerardo E. Turrubiartes.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL. 60174. A funeral service will follow visitation at 5:00 P.M also at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
