Jesus Moya

April 15, 1933 - November 20, 2018

Jesus Moya,85, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home in North Aurora surrounded by his family.  Jesus was born in Mexico the son of Raymundo and Estefania (nee Mayoral) Moya on April 15, 1933. Jesus was united in marriage to Maria Guadalupe Moya. Together they celebrated 52 years of wonderful marriage.  Jesus and Maria lived in Modesto, California for over 30 years where they raised their children.  In 1986, the family moved to Guadalajara, Mexico before moving back to the states and residing in Batavia.  

Jesus was born in a town called Trejos in Jalisco Mexico. When he moved to California he was known as Jesse where he worked at a Dairy Fam. When he returned to Mexico, he owned a small convenient store where he developed many friendships and was known as Don Chuy. When he finally resided in Batavia, he dedicated his time to his family, and grandchildren. Attending soccer games, recitals, graduations, and many more special occasions.

Jesus is survived by his three children Adriana (Eduardo) Torres of North Aurora, Maria Mercedes (Hector) Rosales Batavia, and Victor (Teresa) Moya Montgomery; nine grandchildren, Estefania and Eduardo Torres, Andrea, Karina, Anakaren, and Hector Rosales and Aime, Hanna and Monika Moya; two sisters Maria, and Guadalupe; many nieces, nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Guadalupe Moya, parents; three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  Friday, November 23,2018, at Moss Family Funeral Homes 209 South Batavia, IL.

Funeral services will begin with prayers at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Moss Family Funeral Home, before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia, IL to celebrate Mass 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
