James Edward Lund

October 5, 1945 - January 9, 2019

James E. Lund, 73, of Plano formerly of Chicago, went home to his Lord and savior Wednesday, January 9, 2019.  James was born October 5, 1945, in Chicago the son of Henry Aloysius and Mildred Marie (Horman) Lund.

Jim was a loving family man.  During the 1970’s Jim raised two children as a single parent with love support and great humility.  He was a compassionate man who enjoyed helping anyone in need.  Hard working, he was employed for many years as an Ink Printer at Eddie Price, then Graphic Sales before settling in at ITW for many years until his retirement.  Following retirement Jim soon learned he didn’t enjoy having empty time and not having purpose.  He went back to work at Mooseheart Child City. Disney world was a huge passion for Jim, he loved taking his family especially his grandchildren to enjoy all the wonders Disney provided.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Paul) Chavez, a son Tom Lund; three grandchildren, Anthony, Frankie and Gabby Chavez; four brothers, John (Nancy) Lund, Bob (Joan) Lund, Ken Lund and Joe (Fran) Lund; a niece Christine Lund-Molfese; and seven nephews, Tim, Mark, Eric, Mike, Pat Lund and Robert and Albert Bellanger.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Rev. Don Lund and David Lund.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.
