Bettie J. Hurtt

March 15, 1932 - February 1, 2019

Bettie J. Hurtt, 86, of Batavia, IL. passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 peacefully at Belmont Village in Carol Stream.  Bettie was born March 15, 1932 in St. Louis, MO., the daughter of Euin and Evelyn (nee. Mahaney) Swyers.  She was united in marriage to Perry C. Hurtt Jr. on June 9, 1952.

Bettie is survived by her loving husband, Perry C. Hurtt, two children, Charles A. Hurtt and Julie C. Hurtt; two grandchildren, Randi (Michael) Brantner and Samantha (Chad) Tolliver; five great grandchildren, Jayda, Ellen, Emma, Charlotte and Sawyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents Euin (step-mother, Ruth) Swyers and Evelyn ( step-father Albert) Swan.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Moss Family Funeral  Home, 209 S. Batavia, Ave., Batavia, IL. 60510.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 also at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Bettie’s name may be made to Anderson Animal Shelter of South Elgin or H.E.L.P.  Home for Endangered and Lost Pets.
