Dennis G. Karolewicz

October 1, 1952 - February 18, 2019

Dennis G. Karolewicz, 66, of Elburn passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born October 1, 1952 in Chicago, IL the son of Stanley and Esther (nee Orzechowski) Karolewicz. He was united in marriage to Donna Scheri January 22, 1972 in Chicago, IL.

Den was gregarious, generous and took pride that he lived his life on his own terms.   He loved his job, his family and his little dog Bailey.  He especially loved Christmas and would start decorating at Thanksgiving. He had it down to a science and would rarely deviate from his schedule or plan.  He had childhood friends that he remained close with and looked forward to the times they would all carve out of their busy lives to spend some time together.  Mike and Linda’s cabin and backyard barbecues, Chester’s farm and Pete’s polish peach vodka all were part of his fondest memories.  While his time with his friends held some of his fondest memories, the time spent with his family was what he truly cherished.  He was a good husband, father, grandfather and a good friend.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife Donna; one son Cory (Cara) Karolewicz; two grandchildren, Nicholas Anthony and Ava Marie Karolewicz; a sister Judy (Gerry) Czerak, and a brother Gerry (Jan) Karolewicz; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Stanley Jasinski, and a granddaughter Isabella.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL.

Funeral services will begin with prayers 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 22, 2019 from Moss-Norris Funeral Home, before proceeding to St. Patrick Parish Downtown Church 400 Cedar Street St. Charles, IL to celebrate Mass at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will be follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
