Kenny D. Henson Jr.

May 18, 1965 - April 18, 2019

Kenny Douglas Henson, Jr., 53, of Campton Hills, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his home following a completed, short, but fierce, battle with cancer. He was born May 18, 1965, in Elmhurst, IL the son of Kenny Douglas and Louise Ann (Kaiser) Henson.  He was united in marriage to Deborah Raetzke January 18, 1985 in Wheaton, IL.

Ken was never one to back down from a challenge, he fought hard and continued to work for months after his initial diagnosis with cancer. Ken will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, heartwarming sense of humor, and friendly smile. He was always willing to help those in need, and worked tirelessly to provide for his family and help his children achieve their dreams. He was very proud of his children and their accomplishments; including his son’s service in the Navy and of his daughter’s new business. Ken impacted his community of Campton Hills, where he and his wife lived and raised their children for 16 years and developed a wonderful network of friends. He treasured time with his grandchildren and loved taking them camping.

His loss will be felt most deeply by his wife and partner in crime, Debbie; a son Kenny Henson III, a daughter Kimberly (Jonathan) Goodman; three grandchildren Lane (11) and Luke (5) Goodman; and a granddaughter Rayden Henson (2); his parents Kenny and Louise Henson; a sister Cheryl (Rex) Ledington; a brother John Henson; and a nephew Matt (Rosalind) Henson.
