Thomas Paul Montalbano

July 13, 1948 - April 19, 2019

Thomas “Tom” Paul Montalbano, 70, of Batavia, IL., passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at his home in Batavia.  Tom was born on July 13, 1948, in Chicago, IL., the son of Michael and Evelyn (nee. Hitchborn) Montalbano.  He was united in marriage to Roberta “Bobbie” C. Nelson on December 23, 1989 in Carpentersville, IL.

He proudly served the US Marine Corp and was Vietnam Veteran.  He was a loving a devoted, husband, dad, grandpa, and brother.  He was very generous, and loved to help other people, which helped to make him so well suited to be a police officer. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Roberta C. Montalbano; two sons, Chad (Katie) Montalbano and Steve (Jennifer) Whiteaker;  five grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Megan, Mollie and Jenna; one brother, James (Georgia) Montalbano; one sister, Patricia (Richard) Gorski; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Brent Montalbano and Thomas Montalbano; his two siblings, Judith and Michael.

All services will be help privately at a later date.
