Delbert Lee Bush

May 6, 1942 - July 30, 2019

Delbert Lee Bush, Sr, 77, formerly of Batavia passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at his home in Malta, IL.  He was born May 6, 1942 in Middletown, OH the son of William and Nora (Hatton) Bush.  Delbert was united in marriage to Alta Arlene Thomas December 28, 1963 in Aurora, IL.

He retired from Local 150 in 2006, as a heavy equipment operator.  He was involved with his grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives.  He loved his family and friends and was only a phone call away for the needs of anyone.  Delbert will always be remembered for his flannel shirts and a drink in his hand.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years,  Arlene; a daughter Cindy Bush; four granddaughters Jamie (Eric) Gifford, Ashley (Kyle) Shiparski, Brittney (Will) Tolmie and Allysen Bush; two grandsons, Michael Teague and Travis Bush; a great Grand daughter Elaina Gifford; two great grandsons Gracin Gifford and Jaxson Bush. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Delbert Jr., Jerry and Jeff Bush, and his sister, Violet Gates.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL. 60510.  Funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. also at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be at River Hills Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may by made in Delbert’s name to, St Jude Children’s Hospital,
