Margaret Elaine Halladay

April 10, 1942 - August 26, 2019


Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Trusted Friend, Tennis Player, Skier, Educator, Mentor, Leader, and Advocate met her Lord and Savior August 26th, 2019. 

Preceded in death by Allan Halladay (father), Elizabeth Withington Halladay (mother), Allan “Buzz” Halladay (brother) and Elizabeth “Betsy” Octavio (sister). 

Peg is survived by daughters Elissa Halladay Travers, Leah Withington Travers-Pucci (Michael), granddaughters Olivia and Isabella, Husband Bill Potterbaum, step-daughters Millicant Bliesener, Natalie Bliesener, Ericka Reckamp (Steve), Laura Musatto (Chris), grandchildren Robert, Peter, Marybeth, Margaret, Emerson and George. 

Peg was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. She attended Tufts University in Massachusetts to study Physical Education. She raised her daughters in Stratford, Connecticut with her first husband William Travers before moving to St Charles, Illinois in 1991. While living in St. Charles, Peg became the Director of CASA Kane County, a position she held for nearly a decade. Later, she accepted the role of Director of Caring Ministries at Christ Community Church in St. Charles, where she met her current husband, Bill Potterbaum and married in 2007. 
Memorial will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 11am Christ Community Church 37W100 Bolcum Road, St Charles, Illinois.
