Marvin Lee Piper

July 23, 1936 - September 9, 2019

Marvin “Lee” Piper passed away on September 9, 2019 at Bickford of St. Charles.  Lee was born on July 23, 1936 in Berlin Township Illinois to Verle and Verna Piper. He graduated from Malden High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, he obtained his pilot’s license and training in airline mechanics. He worked as an airline mechanic for the Flying Tigers and Federal Express for 35 years.

Lee had many great memories and stories of growing up with his family and the work they did on the farm. He spent the last 25+ years in St. Charles, IL where he had many friends who were like family within the community.

Lee leaves behind his step-daughter, Wendy (Ray) Johnson; her children, Russell, Kyle, and Jessica; His nieces Jill (John) Wilson; her son Zach (Veronica) and Colleen (Thomas) Huber; her children Ryan and Piper.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Merrill Piper, and his sister Sue Eden.

A private graveside committal service was held Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Malden Cemetery in Malden, IL. 

A memorial event will be held at the Arcada Theatre 105 E Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174 on Monday, September 23 at 7pm
