John E. Black

March 14, 1936 - September 25, 2019

John “Jack” Edward Black, 83, of North Aurora, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 14, 1936, the son of John and Mary (nee Kramer) Blachowski. He found the love of his life, Kathryne Irlbacker, at Briggs Transportation, and they married in 1962 and were blessed to share 57 wonderful years together.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Kathie; his four beloved children, Karen Black, Brenda Black (James Chapman), Bob (Marcey) Black), Tracy Black (John Brinn); eleven cherished grandchildren (Will, Pilar, T.J., Lauren, Megan, Ross, Grace, Michael, Madison, Taylor, and Nathan); and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his older siblings, Bob (Vivian) Blachowski; Doll (Joe) Surane; Lori (Ray) Radecki; and his son Michael.

Visitation will be held 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2019 Annunciation Catholic Church, 1840 Church Road, Aurora, Illinois.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. following the visitation.
