Ronald Edward Kluber

July 7, 1928 - November 4, 2019

Ronald E. Kluber, 91, of Aurora passed away Monday, November 4, 2019, at Asbury Gardens Memory Care in North Aurora.  Ronald was born July 7, 1928 in Aurora, IL the son of Friedrich and Clara (Seidelman) Kluber.

He graduated from Marmion Military Academy, Aurora Illinois in 1946 (his sons John and Ronald in 1979, Mike in 1981 also graduated from Marmion.  He served in the US Army National Guard as a Signal Corps Staff Sergeant.  He was deployed to Japan with his amphibious tank battalion during the Korean War.  After the war, he founded Kluber Electric in Aurora Illinois and remained in business until 1982.  He was a member of the IBEW 461 or over fifty years.  Ron continued his career as an Electrical Inspector for the City of Aurora.  He was an amazing entrepreneur - simultaneously starting El Taco (3 restaurants), Kluber Lighting & Fixture, and a pizza venture equipping establishments with pizza ovens and supplying frozen pizzas.  If that wasn’t enough, he also ran for Kane County Commissioner during the 1960s.

Ron was a devote Roman Catholic who served as a Eucharistic Minister for the residents at Asbury Gardens. 

He is survived by six children; Linda (Jeff) Byrum, Steve Kluber, Richard Kluber, Ronald (Tara) Kluber, John (Shawn) Kluber, and Michael (Renee) Kluber. In addition, he leaves seventeen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a brother Gary Kluber. 

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Fritz, Delmar, Susan, and Clareen,

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 801 Oak Street North Aurora, IL.  Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
