April Rae Claussner (Krueger)

January 7, 1976 - November 19, 2019

April Rae Claussner (Krueger), 43, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, in St. Charles, IL.

She was born on January 7, 1976, in St. Paul, MN to Ray and Theresa Krueger. April was baptized on January 25, 1976.  She attended the College of Notre Dame of Maryland earning a Bachelor of Arts in Math and Secondary Education, graduating in 1998. On August 19, 2000, she married Keith Claussner at Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL. 

April was a hard working individual who humbly put individuals before herself. She never stopped working even into her last days. She will be especially remembered for her dedicated work as a soccer coach, Girl Scout Troop leader, Wild Rose PTO member, Bible Study Fellowship member, disaster respondent for Lutheran Church Charities and especially for her love of serving at St. Mark’s in mission work, community supper, and the preschool.

She is survived by her husband, Keith; children, Kara (15), Amanda (12), and Kayla (10). Parents Ray and Theresa Krueger, Karl and Mary Ann Claussner; Siblings Todd Krueger, Rod (Gretchen) Krueger, Angela (Mark) Cramer, Krista (Scott) Pedersen, Kurt (Christa) Claussner; nieces and nephews, Taylor Pedersen, Alexa Pedersen, Ryan Krueger, Marissa Krueger, Katie Krueger, Anna Claussner, Benjamin Krueger, Bethany Krueger, Karl Claussner, Joanna Krueger, Abigail Cramer, and Luke Cramer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by Cousin Aaron, Cousin Jacob, Cousin Rick, Aunt Mary, Grandma and Grandpa Krueger, and Grandpa Ziemer.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 22, 2019, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S 3rd St, St. Charles, IL 60174. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 101 S 6th Ave, St. Charles, IL 60174 on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 with visitation at 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 10:00 AM with Rev. Steve Kass officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, 828 4th Ave., Geneva, IL. Lunch will be served following the burial at the church.

  • Michelle Bowen April was my first co-leader in Bible Study Fellowship as Children's Leaders. She was very good at being fun yet firm all at the same time which made working with her so enjoyable! She rarely had to repeat herself as the children loved listening to her, especially making Bible stories come alive and the salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
