  • Chandra Tillotson Dearest James Family, Your son/brother was the brightest light and such a shining star! This earth was so lucky to have him for his short time... especially those that knew him and played alongside him. My son, Ayden Santi, was coached by Zack and let me tell you... he had a tremendous impact on Ayden. Zack was positive, motivating, inspiring, and his passion for the game ignited many young players' passions as well. You raised a fine young man and we are so lucky he chose Utah to come and study and play. We are even luckier that he chose to come help coach with True. The players LOVED him! He was always seen with his arm around a player, picking a player up off the ground, cheering up after a tough loss or a bad day! He would make sure my son had his enormous box pads on and taped the feet securely every time for him. Also, as a box goalie it's pretty tough to get a drink and you're just sweating and drowning in heat... Zack ALWAYS made sure Ayden got drinks any chance he could. He looked out for my son and I am eternally grateful!! His last practice with our boys was November 15th and as I drove our 15 year old boys home that night, they all talked about how good of a practice they had and that Zack really pushed them. They will never forget him and they all miss him dearly. Thank you for sharing your son with mine, our hearts are broken. May you find peace in the days ahead. Although Utah is not your home... we are all behind you. Rest in Peace sweet Zack!

  • Jennifer Frankiewicz Zack is a kid that any parent would be bursting with pride to call their own. He looked people in the eye when he shook their hand, asked about you and your family with genuine interest, gave hugs that really felt like hugs, laughed hard when someone had something funny to say. These life skills came from being raised by the best. He loved the outdoors, music, sports, learning new things, Chipotle, his dog ... most of all his family. He loved them with all of his heart. He was naturally athletic and intelligent, yet worked hard to excel in whatever he was working on. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Zack his whole life and watching him grow into the caring, hardworking, goof he came to be. He made your heart smile. I think our “spirited” conversations is what I will miss most. I just wish more people had more time to meet and spend with him. Rest easy Zack, we will all be here to comfort your family as we know that they would do the same for us. The James family makes all of those that have the pleasure of their acquaintance feel like family and we will do you proud in being the support they need now and forever. I know even now you are thinking of them more than yourself...your love for them was obvious. Jodi, Rob and Amanda thank you for being the amazing family you are, Zack wouldn’t have been the amazing person he was had it not been for each of you.
  • Nicole Symon James family: my deepest condolences to you all. I remember Zack always putting a smile on the faces of those around him. He grew up into an amazing young man and left this world too early. Your family is in my prayers and I hope you know that Zach touched many lives!
  • The Woolwine Family Rob, Jodi, and Amanda, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our boys looked up to Zack and enjoyed playing lacrosse with him. He had a dynamic personality and spirit. May the Lord give you peace to know that He is watching over Zack.

  • Jim, Roben, Christian and Emalle Smith Rob, Jodi and Amanda - There are no words sufficient, so please know that the Smith family is very much keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Looking back to last May, Zach and I had a wonderful conversation at the end of North's playoff game. He shared with me all that he was experiencing in college, both in school and outside (physically and literally) of school. It was apparent then, and even more so now that he was truly loving the experience and was joyful. I am thankful today for having been given that opportunity to see inside top Zach with his easy smile and time for any who crossed his path.
