Thomas Chapman Walthour

January 17, 1944 - February 9, 2020

Thomas Chapman Walthour, 76, of St. Charles went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

Thomas was born in Erie Pennsylvania on January 17, 1944 the son of Louis and Ruth (Chapman) Walthour. Tom graduated from Academy High School in Erie and Baldwin Wallace College in Berea Ohio. He was drafted into the US Army and served in Germany before heading home in July 1968. Upon returning home Tom started his career at Ohio Bell then moved to the Hoover Company. He transferred with Hoover to run their Chicago credit and collections office. In June 1970 he met Cynthia Carnahan at the young singles group at church. On February 20, 1971, Tom was united in marriage to Cindy.  Tom and his beautiful wife have lived their lives anchored by the love of Christ and their commitment to Him. In 1974 Tom advanced his career by accepting a position at Dean Foods Company as director of credit and collections, where he was employed for 24 years. As a couple Cindy and Tom enjoyed travel to Ft. Myers, Scotland, Japan, Israel and England.

Tom’s life was blessed by his surviving wife Cindy; two wonderful children John (Ellen) Walthour and Diana (Bruce) McEvoy; adored grandchildren, Joel and Sarah McEvoy, and Naomi, Louis and Elliot Walthour; and a brother Bill (Kathy) Walthour.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Riverside Community Church 37w130 Crane Road St. Charles, IL.  Visitation will be held 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service.
