Robert Stephan Mitchell

December 1, 1955 - July 5, 2020

Robert “Bob” Stephan Mitchell, 64, of Sugar Grove, IL passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, IL.  Bob was born December 1, 1955 in Jersey City, NJ the son of Charles and Madeline (nee Logan) Mitchell.  He was united in marriage to Maryann Bianchini June 30, 1991 in Wyckoff, NJ. 

Bob was a huge sports fan supporting both the New York Yankees and the New York Jets.  His enjoyment was spent vacationing with the entire family.  He had a successful career in sales.    

Bob is survived by his two children, Rick (Gisel) Bianchini; and Taylor Bianchini; two grandchildren, Vivian and Vincent Bianchini; two sisters, Virginia (Ralph) Fazio, and Christine (Don) Nelson; a niece Chrisjenna (Michael) Monahan and three nephews, Paul Jr, James and Andrew. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Maryann Bianchini.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated by invitation only, Friday, July 10, 2020 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church 8S055 Dugan Road Sugar Grove, IL.  Visitation will be held by invitation only for one hour prior to the funeral Mass.  Interment will follow the Mass in Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton. Due to COVID-19 and the rules surrounding social distancing the visitation and funeral has occupancy requirements limited to 50 visitors.  All visitors entering the church are required to wear a face covering.  Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visitation a brief one. Once you have had your visit, we ask that you depart immediately or take a seat in the church while waiting for the funeral Mass.  There should be no gatherings inside or outside of the church facility.  The family appreciates your sincere cooperation during these very challenging and different times.  For additional clarification, please contact the funeral home.
