David V. Moore

August 23, 1941 - July 17, 2020

David V. Moore, 78, of North Aurora passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at his home.  He was born August 23, 1941 in Knoxville, TN the son of Aaron and Ruth (White) Moore. 

He is survived by his loving wife Margie Moore; daughters Terri Franklin, Tonya (Glenn) Beam; three step-daughters, Rita Padilla, Lianna (Pete) Vourazeris, and Belinda (Mike Provis) Rosa; five grandchildren, Valerie, Brandon (Jessica), Stephanie, Britney, Raven, Lynn (Brian), Bryan (Kelsey) and Corey (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Deekin, Haylee, Emma, Landyn, Aiden, Cailyn, Brison, and Ava; step-grandchildren, Timmy, Michael, Mason, Scarlette , Violette, Hunter and Jessie; his siblings, James Moore, Lynn Hood, and Richard Moore and many nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Moore; his former wife, Billie Marie Bradshaw, and his siblings, Helen, Gene, George and Mary. 

David lived life to the fullest, while planning his next adventure. He had many hobbies, that included: motorcycling, scuba diving, traveling, flying, watching movies, and eating Oreos. But his greatest enjoyments were singing, and making people laugh.

David leaves a legacy of his infectious laughter and his enormous love for his family. The world was a better place having David Moore in it.

Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. Monday July 20, 2020 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  A funeral service will be said at 1:00 P.M.  Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the visitation will be limited. All visitors entering the funeral home are required to wear a face covering.  Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visitation a brief one in order that all who would like to attend will have a chance to do so.  Once you have exited the funeral home, we ask you to depart immediately so there are no gatherings outside of our facility.  The family appreciates your sincere cooperation during these very challenging and different times.  For additional clarification, please contact the funeral home or family directly.

He will be laid to rest in Knoxville, TN.
