She was a devoted parishioner at Holy Cross Church in Batavia. When she retired, Mary was part of various Bible study groups as well as the funeral choir.

Every fall as soon as the football season started Mary enjoyed watching every Chicago Bears game, cheering for her dear Bears, and wearing Bears gear.

Mary will be remembered by many for her frequent and warm smile, her cheerful singing and her kindness to others especially children.
