Harriette "Peggy" Ann Moulton

February 9, 1931 - December 15, 2020

Harriette Ann Moulton passed away on December 15, 2020 in South Elgin. She was born on February 9, 1931 in Bigfork, MT to Thomas and Rachel (nee Wolstad) McEvoy. She was united in marriage to Robert Edwin Moulton on June 30, 1950 in Columbia Falls, MT.

Harriette, nicknamed Peggy from childhood, will be remembered for her love for her family. Always a hard worker, she continued to keep busy as she aged. She played the piano by ear, having taught herself to play as a child, and blessed the residents of her memory care home with her playing until just a year or so ago. She kept her hands busy, too, with beautiful embroidery and crochet. Many family members have pieces of her handiwork.

Peggy was proud of her Montana roots. She was born on her family’s farm in the Flathead Valley. After marriage, she and Bob moved to California always following construction jobs. In 1966, the family moved to Portland, Oregon then to Woodland, Washington.  She and Bob lived in the country near the Lewis River until his death in 2001. Peggy moved to Geneva, Illinois in 2006 to live with her daughter.

She leaves behind her children Connie (David) Kuykendall, Bobbie (Bill) Redington, and Stephen (Oua) Moulton, and grandchildren Amie Carlson, Jeffrey (Anne Luebke) Kuykendall, Skyler Redington, Kelsie (Nick) Skinner, Miranda Moulton, Jeremy Moulton, and Alexzander Moulton and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, siblings Sarah Lockwood, William McEvoy, Charlotte Matkin, James McEvoy, and Dode Jangula.

The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for their compassionate ministry and Peggy’s Heritage Woods/White Oaks family who so lovingly cared for her these past years.  Their kindness was so very appreciated.

All services will be private. Interment to take place at Willamette National Cemetery in Happy Valley, OR.
