Lloyd Glenn Jones

July 20, 1933 - February 24, 2021

Lloyd Glenn Jones, 87, of St. Charles, Il. passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, Il.  Lloyd was born on July 20, 1933 in Fedora, SD, the son of Lloyd and Marie (nee. Peterson) Jones.  He was united in marriage to Wilma Wilman on March 28, 1956.

Lloyd was loved by everyone from young to old, he always had a positive and upbeat outlook at life.  He was always the first guy to lend a hand at anything he could. He was the St. Charles East Super Fan, and could be seen at almost every game whether it be at home or away.  He proudly served in the US Army serving in Germany during the Korean War.  He loved spending time at Rolling Oaks Campground in Sheridan, Il. for over 50 years. His family had no boundaries, expanding beyond the Jones name to encompass everyone from St. Charles East and the city to those at the campground.

Lloyd is survived by his two sons, Kyle Jones and Glenn Jones; his three grandchildren; Jesse Jones, Kristin Jones and Lloyd Jones; his great granddaughter, Khaleesi Jones; his four siblings; Don (Jeanette) Jones, Larry (Maria) Jones, Jessie Garness and Karen Bunker; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by parents; his loving wife of 49 years, Wilma Jones; and his son, Terry Jones.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Thirds Street, St. Charles, Il. 60174.  Interment will be held at a later date at Lakewood Cemetery in Elgin, IL.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Lloyds name may be made to the St. Charles East Booster Club.
