Nancy A. Simmons

October 17, 1932 - March 7, 2021

Nancy A Simmons, (née Mulcahy), of Maple Park, Illinois, formerly of St. Charles, Illinois passed away at home, surrounded by family, on March 7, 2021, at the age of 88. Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 17, 1932, to Patrick and Annie Mulcahy and united in marriage to Fred Simmons, on May 9, 1953.

Nancy was devoted to her husband and family, her faith, and her pet collie, Mulligan. There are not enough words or adjectives to describe her positive influence on all who knew and loved her. Nancy Mulcahy Simmons was a feisty Irish lady from the top of her head to the tip of her toes!

She is survived by her 6 children, Kevin (Tammy), Linda (Gregg), Brian, Terry (Bridget), Tim (Penny), and Shawn (Lisa), 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 62 years, Fred, Pat and Annie, brothers, Gerard, Eugene, and Robert, sisters, Margaret and Kathleen.

A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 East Main Street, St. Charles, IL. 60174.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Nancy’s name may be made to Susan B Komen Foundation, www.komen.org/how-to-help/donate/ to support breast cancer research.  A private interment will be held at a later date.
