Arlene A. Likovich

March 17, 1933 - March 21, 2021

Arlene A. Likovich, 88, a lifelong resident of Aurora passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born March 17, 1933, in Aurora the daughter of Albert F. and Lena (Bosseler) Frieders.

She attended Holy Angels Grade School and Madonna High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Likovich May 29, 1954 in Aurora, IL. 

After raising her four children, she worked at Sears for 24 years before retiring. 

Although she was an only child, family gatherings were a common event with many aunts, uncles, and cousins in attendance.

Some of her closest friends dated back to childhood and were like sisters to her throughout her life.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Donald (Laura Rindner) Likovich, Mary Kay Likovich, Kathleen Pfeister, Steven (Susan) Likovich, and two grandchildren, Katelyn (John) Dehm, and Lauren (Jared Buttry) Pfeister. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert. 

Visitation will be held 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 

Funeral services will begin with prayers 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 29, 2021 from Moss Family Funeral Home before traveling to Annunciation Catholic Church, Aurora, IL to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.  Interment will immediately follow the funeral Mass in Marywood Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be directed to Joliet Area Community Hospice, the Salvation Army or a charity of the donor’s choice.

  • Joan Frieders You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Arlene was a very special person. Dave talked about how she used to babysit him and how special she was to him. Dave and I always enjoyed our visits with Arlene and the times we got together at the golf club for dinner. She will be greatly missed. Love, Joan
  • Father Richard Kramer Dear Family Members of Arlene, Your Mom was the child of Albert and Lena Frieders. Albert was a first cousin of my Dad, Raymond Kramer. So Arlene would be a relative of mine. I see that she will be buried from Annunciation Church and buried there in the cemetery. All of my paternal relatives are also buried there, including a lot of the Frieders family members. I will remember your dear Mom at my Masses and in my prayers....and all of you who remain to mourn her passing. May she rest in peace!
