Gloria Albertson

March 13, 1928 - May 28, 2010

Gloria E. Albertson, 82, of Geneva went home to be with the Lord May 28, 2010 at Tower Hill Health Care in Elgin. She was born March 13, 1928 in Aurora the daughter of Walter Irving and Marguerite (Brown) Tebbit. She was united in marriage to Victor J. Albertson March 21, 1947 in Aurora, IL. Gloria loved people. She was employed as a waitress for many years at Roberts Drive-in in Geneva, Colonial in St. Charles and finished her career at the Diner in Geneva. Gloria and Victor enjoyed camping together spent many years camping in Ft. Myers Florida, Devils Lake Wisconsin or with their friends of Good Sam Club. She cherished her time in Florida especially shelling on the beach. She is survived by her four children John (Janice) Albertson of Rock, MI, Marsha (Richard) Koch of Batavia, Ron Albertson of Batavia, and Steve (Fiancée Marianne Meister) Albertson of Geneva; six grandchildren Jeff (Elaine) Albertson, Ryan Lowe, Renee (Freddy) Martinez, Tammy (Nathan) Frederick, David Albertson and Emily Albertson; three great-grandchildren Cassie and Tanner Lowe, and Evelyn Frederick; two sisters Norma Vaughan of Aurora and Nancy Nichol of Henderson, NV, a brother Robert Tebbit of Oswego and many nieces and nephews. In additional to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Victor and one brother Walter Tebbit, two sisters Marian Okapal and Susan Tebbit. Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Geneva Lutheran Church 301 South 3rd Street Geneva IL, where she will lie in state from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park.
