Dennis Earl Herren

July 14, 1936 - January 30, 2012

Dennis Earl Herren, 75, of Batavia, passed away January 30, 2012. He was born July 14, 1936, the son of Earl and Alice (nee Jordan) Herren.  He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. He is survived by the mother of his children, Wanda Herren of Golconda, IL; his children Terry (Dale) Roate of Batavia, Bonita Herren of Terre Haute, IN, Pamela (Morgan) Moseley of Batavia, and Dennis Herren of Geneva; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Fahnestock of Montgomery; a brother, Garry Herren of Aurora; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and neighborhood friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Avenue, in Batavia.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev. Ronald Weidler officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora.
