Edna Mae Isbell, 93, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2012. She was born May 24, 1918, the daughter of Guy and Adda Ruth (nee Ladow) Taylor. She was united in marriage to Harold A. Isbell on June 11, 1938 in Batavia, IL. She was a loyal and active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia. She was a selfless woman who devoted much of her time helping to enrich the lives of her family and others. She always put the well being of others before herself. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Donald E. Isbell of Aurora, Richard D. (Imy) Isbell of Batavia, and Carole M. (Joe) Parillo of Geneva; six grandchildren, Vicki (Alan) Mathis, Pamela (Mike) Brandenburg, Tracy Levin, Geoffrey Isbell, Todd (Cathy) Parillo, and Scott (Maura) Parillo; fourteen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Karl Otto Anderson; her husband, Harold; a sister, Leona Charest; and a brother, Guy Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (Rte. 31) in Batavia. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Stromberg will officiate. Interment will be private.
