My deepest sympathies to the family of Spero Gramas. I grew up across the street from Spero, and remember him as a kind, funny, loving young man. I also knew his mother very well as she was my mother’s best friend. When Bea died so unexpectedly, I cried uncontrollably for a long time. Her death affected me so deeply as she was a person who touched my life with just her presence. She was a kind, loving, compassionate, funny, godly woman with a beautiful heart. I guess Spero was a lot like her. I can only imagine her beaming smile as she welcomed her son into her arms and into the gates of heaven. I remember the tender, unconditional love Bea had for her children, and I remember the joy that was in her because of them. She had a lovely, contagious laugh, so I am sure when she saw Spero, her laughter and joy was bursting open the heavens.
To Bea: I love you and miss you. My mom misses you dearly. She has never had another friend like you. There was and always will be only one Bea.
To Spero: God bless you Spero and may you be in the arms of Jesus. I look forward to reminiscing with you one day about our growing up years on Glen Avenue.
