Lana A. Gould

January 10, 1975 - April 27, 2012

Lana A. Gould (nee Fragola), 37, of Maple Park, passed away on April 27, 2012 after a long, courageous battle with leukemia.  She was born January 10, 1975, the daughter of Nicholas and Diane (nee Coen) Fragola. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Gould on June 7, 1997 in Hanover Park.  Lana grew up in Hanover Park and attended Hoffman Estates High School. She attended Elgin Community College for two years. For the last several years, she was actively involved with the Elburn Bunco for Breast Cancer organization. She served as president this last year. She was a very outgoing and helpful person. Despite her own illness, she reached out to help other people in their time of need. She was a loving mother and devoted wife.  She is survived by her husband, Jeff; a daughter, Ashley, and a son, Spencer; her father, Nick Fragola; her sisters, Lisa (Greg) Straub and Nicole (Tim) Mitsven; and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in by her mother, Diane, and her mother-in-law, Kathleen Gould.  Visitation will be from 4-9 P.M. Thursday, May 3 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (Rte. 31) in Batavia.  Funeral services will begin with prayers from the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 4, before proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd., in Geneva for Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery.
