Marian Ruth Crocker

July 30, 1925 - April 27, 2012

Marian Ruth Crocker, age 86, of the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia passed away April 27 at Michealsen Health Center in Batavia.  She was born July 30, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, the only child of Russell and Ethel (nee Kreuger) Goin.  She married her high-school sweetheart, Harold Crocker, on March 1, 1946 in St. Louis.  Marian lived most of her life in Florissant, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis, where she raised her three children. In 2004 she made the difficult decision to leave the St. Louis area to move to the Holmstad to be nearer her daughters. Marian quickly made many new friends. She is survived by her two daughters Linda (Edward) Cave of Batavia and Jan (Robert) Beverly of Lindenhurst; two grandchildren Laura (Todd) Smith of Geneva and Sean Beverly of Chicago; two great-granddaughters Casey and Tori Kirsch of Geneva; and her dear friend Earl Pederson of the Holmstad.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Gary Crocker.   A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Holmstad Park Manor, 700 West Fabyan Parkway, Batavia, IL.
