Violet B. Carlson, age 92, of Batavia, formerly of St. Charles, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in South Elgin. She was born on September 21, 1919, in Batavia, the daughter of Edward N. and Augusta W. (nee Anderson) Carlson. She was united in marriage to Fred Carlson in 1946, in Batavia. She was a faithful member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia. She was also a member of the Vasa Lodge #349. Violet is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Frank) Harshman, of St. Charles, a granddaughter Nina Plowman of St. Charles, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred, brothers, Clarence, Aner, Freddie, Bobby, and Richard, and sisters, Ruth Ohlin, Jeanette Ness, and Anna Langston. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 11 at the Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Stromberg officiating. Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery.
