Dear Angel, Devin, and Kailin,
I am deeply saddened by Denny's passing. We had spoken recently, as you were in the process of moving, and he was encouraged by the progress of his treatment.
Denny drew me in to music ministry at St. Leo's in Stamford during high school. Then we ended up in the Folk Group at St. James in Rocky Hill together after college--what are the chances of that?
Our last few conversations were very spiritual and philosophical. Denny was at peace with his life and his illness. He had great faith, an awesome attitude, and a great sense of humor even until the end.
I will truly miss him. I will call you soon.
Love and God's Blessings,
- Andrew Lee
Angela, Devin, and Kailin, thank you for sharing Doc with us. Thank you Doc for all your sacrifices as we traveled together on business over 10 years. What I remember most is your honesty, encouragement, and sharing. Our common bond as believers and musicians… sharing that quick recording of our own worship music in Denver International Airport before parting ways. You will be missed. I pray we may meet again someday. My prayers go out to you and your family. God Bless you my friend and fellow worship leader - The heavens have a new musician.
