Josephine Knirko, 80, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2012 at Provena Pine View Care Center. She was born January 19, 1932 in Poland. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Thomas) Jurgens of Batavia; her grandchildren, Paul, Stephan, and Nicholas Jurgens; two brothers, Steve (Beverly) Zawitkowski of Huntley, IL and John Zawitkowski of Jacksonville, FL; and a niece, Sharon (Angelo) Filippo. She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Fred Rozylowicz, and Pawel Knirko; and a niece, Linda Zawitkowski. Visitation will be held from 5-9 P.M. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., in Batavia. Funeral services will begin with prayers from the funeral home 10 A.M., Wednesday, September 5, 2012 before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 West Main Street, in Batavia to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, IL.
