William B. Everhart, age 84, of Geneva, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora. He was born February 22, 1928 in Aurora, IL, the son of William and Mildred (nee Youngren) Everhart. He was united in marriage to Jeanne M. Leipold on September 25, 1948 in Batavia. Bill proudly served his country during WWII with the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marines. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. He worked at U.S. Printing and Lithographic in St. Charles and drove a school bus for Geneva School District for over 40 years. He is survived by his daughter, Ronda (Greg) Marsh of Mesa, Arizona; two sons, Scott (Karen) Everhart of Aurora, and Craig Everhart of Sandwich, IL; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Erickson of Houston, TX, Eric (Jessica) Marsh of Mesa, AZ, Brian and Jennifer Everhart of Aurora, IL, Daniel Everhart of Chicago, IL, Jessica, Justine and Mallory Everhart of Sandwich, IL; seven great-grandchildren, Ali, Caileigh and Forrest Erickson, Sadie, Jaden and Bella Marsh, and Riley Wolf; one great-great granddaughter, Hailey Hammon; brother, Robert Everhart of SurfSide Beach, SC; sister Charlotte Ferrill of Batavia, IL; sister-in-laws, Judy Everhart of Aurora, IL, and Nonie Johnson of Lee, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jeanne; two sisters, Winifred Swanson and Bea McKeown; a brother, Delbert Everhart; daughter-in-law, Marsha Everhart; and granddaughter, Marissa Everhart. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (Rt. 31) in Batavia. Funeral service will be 10:30 A. M. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev. Steven Srock and Rev. Robert Stromberg to officiate. Interment will follow in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
