Catherine Delaney

July 9, 1922 - December 2, 2012

Catherine Delaney, age 90, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2012 at Aurora Rehabilitation in Aurora, IL.  She was born July 9, 1922 in Flora, IL, the daughter of George and Bertha Strange.  She was united in marriage to Harold Delaney.  She is survived by her children, Joan Delaney of Aurora, Keith Delaney of Batavia, Tim (Shirley) Delaney of Genoa, Kathy (Stephen) Atkinson of Poplar Grove, and Theresa Grzywa of Malta ; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her two brothers, James and John Strange.  In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold; her daughter, Judy Poile; a son-in-law, Bill Poile; and her siblings, Agnes, Bea, Charles, and Leonard.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street (three blocks west of the river and one block south of Rt. 64) in St. Charles.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, IL.
