Patricia R. Oman, 80, of Batavia passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 11, 1932 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Joseph George and Harriet (nee Hannon) Gunther. She was united in marriage to William Oman on July 28, 1951 in Wheaton, IL. Patricia stayed active in her community and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Woman of the Moose Lodge in Batavia, Delnor Weavers, Telephone Pioneers, and enjoyed volunteering at the Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva. She is survived by her three children Jeffrey (Rose) Oman, Douglas Oman and Kandace Oman all of Batavia; four grandchildren, Steven (Judith) Oman, Josh (Daphne) Oman, Brandi (James) Muetze, Ashley (Fiancée Ryne Hanz) Mccloskey; nine great-grandchildren and a sister Judith Kling. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William; a son Steven Oman. Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will begin with prayers from the Moss Family Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 15, 2012 before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow the Mass at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
