Nathalie Louise Wulff, 93, of Batavia, IL passed away peacefully Friday, December 14, 2012, at her home in Batavia. She was born September 3, 1919, in Chicago, IL. Nathalie was united in marriage on April 10, 1942, in Chicago, IL to Alfred J. Wulff they spent the next 62 years together until his passing on April 30, 2004. Nathalie met her husband when both were students at University of Illinois where her husband waited tables at her Phi Mu Sorority in Champaign-Urbana. Nathalie is survived by her children, William, of Sugar Grove, IL, Thomas, of Aurora, IL, John (Pamela) of Batavia, IL, Peter of Batavia, IL, Mary (Jim) Duffy of Libertyville, IL, and Tim (Sue) of Batavia, IL; nine grandchildren Carolyn (Trevor) Penick, Katherine (Greg) Carroll, Michael (Lindsay) Wulff, Elizabeth (Kevin) Meyer, Margaret (John) Trapp, and Julie, Joseph, Brian Wulff and Jack Duffy; four great grandchildren Maddie, Emily and Grace Carroll and Max Penick; many nieces and nephews; Nathalie also leaves many dear family members and friends, including Kristy Ryan Wulff, and Sharon Roth. She is preceded in death by her husband Alfred, a twin son Richard in 1962, her parents William and Frances (nee Brixel) Gelis and a sister Adelle Kirkpatrick. Nathalie was a graduate of L.T.H.S, LaGrange, IL, and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. A member at Aurora Press Glass, Hawthorn Reading Group, Provena Mercy Auxiliary, and St. Ann’s Socity, Holy Angles Church in Aurora and Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia. Her family wants to especially thank her hospice nurses and their aids for the care and compassion given during the past few weeks. Visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2012 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will begin with prayers from the funeral home Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia, IL to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora.
