Betty Jane Parr

November 21, 1928 - December 16, 2012

Betty Jane Parr, age 84, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2012, with her husband at her side, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva.  She was born November 21, 1928 in Franklin, WI, the daughter of John and Katherine (nee Fisch) Guthrie.  She was united in marriage to Fredric Parr on March 9, 1946 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. 

Betty was a proud member of the Elias Kent Kane Chapter of NSDAR.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Fredric; their sons, Michael (Kathleen DuShane) Parr of Edgewater, MD and children, Shane and Justin; Barry (Linda) Parr of Aurora; their children, Brian (Andrea) and children, Jacob, Trenton, Brenden, and Megan (Luke) Slawek, and their child, Elliana;  Jon (Linda) Parr of Burnsville, MN and their children, Shannon (Scott) Fest and children, Joe, Lauren, and Elizabeth (James) Parisi and children, Makenna and Jaxon; Craig (Cara) Parr of Batavia and children, Noah, Sadie, Dakota, and Adam; she is also survived by her late son’s child, Eric (Leanne) Parr and their child, Hudson.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Fredric “Rick” Parr; her brothers, George, James, Owen, Harold, and Clayton; and her sisters, Margaret, May, and Evelyn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third Street (three blocks west of the river and one block south of Rt. 64) in St. Charles. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Whitney Cemetery in Campton Township.
