Located at 100 South Third Street in St. Charles, Illinois, Moss-Norris Funeral Home contributes to a rich history in the Fox Valley area for well over a hundred years. Being located in the heart of the historic downtown St. Charles district provides a sense of warmth and community to all those that enter our home. The beautiful Greek Rival building was constructed in the 1840's. It has been a funeral home since about 1935.
The St. Charles facility is undergoing a major interior/exterior remodeling project that will provide the funeral home with a new “look and feel.” As one of St. Charles most unique and historic structures, we aim to maintain the historical character while incorporating fresh and updated amenities. Resulting in a better service for the “needs and wants” of the surrounding community in their time of need.
The new improvement plans will include various upgraded interiors/exteriors such as warmer color tones, new paint and carpeting, new windows, roof enhancements, fresh furniture, as well as an additional chapel, a community room, a family conference area, new offices, a coffee bar, patio, a children’s area, a new entrance with easier access from the parking lot and much more.
Bryan and Amanda Moss purchased the Norris Funeral Home in December 2009 and have joined together with local business owners to create a remodel plan that will enhance the experience at Moss-Norris Funeral Home. It is a very exciting time for us, and we look forward to the continued progress ahead. Our experience with the remodel at our Batavia location was well received by the people in the community and we hope to have the same enthusiasm in St. Charles. Upon completion, we will be hosting an open house for the Fox Valley area to experience the exciting changes firsthand.
Moss-Norris Funeral Home will continue to stay open during the renovation process. We have coordinated efforts with the General Contractor, to maintain the facility at all times, and as always you can be sure there will be no interruption of services.
Stop on by anytime and stay tuned!
